I’ve recently, upon both repeated listens to last year’s gorgeous LP “Yellow House” and a recent aquisition of the new “Friend” EP, rediscovered my love for Grizzly Bear. Yes, I know, I’ve met the lead singer (that phrase feels so wrong, in such a choral group) Ed Droste and told him how his music is beautiful; and yet, I need to vindicate some of this excess love with another video post. This hallucinatory video is for Grizzly Bear’s “Central and Remote,” the first part of the spine of “Yellow House” (the second part is “Little Brother,” an equally lovely track). In the end, the powers of nature and creation win out, but its fun to watch the struggle.
